I could not find the electrolyte I wanted

I did not set out to create one more electrolyte brand. I created Purest because I could not find an electrolyte I felt good about giving to my family or using myself.

I live at 8,900 feet in Aspen, Colorado, and I have four children who are all athletes. Hydration has always mattered in our home. After my own experience with hyponatremia, it became deeply personal. I started reading labels more carefully and looking at what was actually inside the products we were drinking.

Again and again, I found powders made with artificial colors, mysterious natural flavors, fillers, and highly processed ingredients. The branding often looked clean, but the ingredient list told a different story.
